The seminar ‘Youth Leadership for Advocacy’ took place in Spain, Vilanova i la Geltru from 10.01.2022 to 17.01.2022.
The 4 general objectives of the seminar were: -To understand advocacy as part of our role as youth NGOs. -To learn how to encourage and support young people to take leadership as advocates. -To focus on the knowledge, skills and attitudes which are necessary to advocate successfully and collect valid tools and activities to develop and recognize advocating as a competence. -To promote exchange and networking among youth workers and NGOs active in the field of non-formal and intercultural learning, volunteering, active social inclusion and youth empowerment. The 4 key competences were: 1) Leadership; 2) effective communication; 3) networking; 4) campaigning. The first day we focused on "ice breaker" exercises. We received a Todo list, which had different tasks to complete by the end of the seminar. For example: *Take a smiley picture with 2 local people *Learn a song from one of your colleague's country *Learn a cooking recipe from a different country The hotel was great. The food was tasty, the weather was amazing, the group was awesome. I loved how experienced everybody was in this group and how wide range of knowledge they had. The city was beautiful and the local people were lovely. All the days were packed with activities, we started at 9.30 and ended our day at 19.00. I was never bored and there was always something to do. The project was structured very well. First we learned some theory and some tools and then we tried making a campaign and gathered thoughts for the next project. I loved the backstories on our assignments and it was a lot more interesting to do the assignments. It wasn't like OK go try to make a campaign and use the tools we learned. They said something like uh oh.. a person from the EU parliament called and they need our help, because they know we got so many bright heads here together so we need to make some campaigns and make sure you'll get them done by 18.00 because they are waiting. We had a whole travel day in Barcelona. We had a guided tour from 10.00 to 12.00 and then we went to eat lunch at a FresCo restaurant. We were able to eat everything and as much as we want. We ate for 2 hours and then we had free time to do whatever we want in Barcelona until 22.00. I went to see the Sagrada Familia building and hiked to Park Güelle to see the sunset. I had an awesome time. I learned a lot about Europe and developed many new skills. Many people in the group were saying that this is the best project they've been to, and they've been to a lot of projects. So I'm really glad this was the first project I participated in. - Richard

The aim of this project was to broaden the awareness of today's youth about ecology, problems connected to this area, such as excessive waste generation, excessive resource consumption, inadequate environmental protection, the need for recycling, environmental pollution and that like. We realized the complexity of the problems which were connected with nowadays production and distribution of different kinds of products and we became part of their solution. It was important to extend the competences of the participants in this area, so that they could bring change for their surroundings.
The main activity of the project was youth exchange. Youth exchange took place in the Gåsbustua, Norway on 21-30 September 2021. The number of participants was 60. There were 8 Youth and 2 group leaders from each country. Countries; France, Norway, Turkey, Estonia, Lithuania and Slovakia The group are: group leaders - a youth worker or person with experiences with youth work in the age 18+. Furthermore, the group consists of 8 participants in the age of 15-30. The participants didn’t have experiences in Erasmus+ or another similar program. The organizing group consisted of volunteers working on the project, facilitators, coordinators of the project, staff ensuring logistics and project continuity. Organisers of the project and facilitators worked 10 days before the beginning of the project to create activities. Every activity (workshop) was done in non-formal education – discussion, role-play, interactive presentation, self-reflection, educational games, video, workshops, etc. Participants presented their personally created wares and possibilities of Erasmus+ program to local people. Every participant learned new things from different areas by these activities. Participants worked also with non-national minorities. Participants learned how to work alone or with people from different countries. Participants were in situations where they discussed in foreign language (by using it they will be better in it). In group works, they learned how to learn new things. Every participant gained 8 key abilities. Right choice of participants and leaders made the best possibility to gain the best result in accomplishing the objectives. Novembri lõpus toimus Hispaanias Madridi lähistel noortevahetus “Open Your Doors.”
-Pilleriin Oktoobri teises pooles toimus Faros, Portugalis noortevahetus. Projekti nimi oli “Be the Change vol II” ning see keskendus jätkusuutlikusele, keskkonnale, aktivismile jms.
See aasta ei saanud me just eriti sooja septembriga kiidelda, seetõttu valmistas ilm meile kõigile parajat peavalu, sest 80% noortevahetuse tegevustest toimus välitingimustes. For All” was a training course that took place in Svarstad, Norway, 25.10-3.11.2021. We had 20 participants from five countries: Estonia, Croatia, Poland, Czech Republic and Turkey. The training course focused on youth cooperation, team building, communication and learning how to organise our own activities for youth exchange and training courses. Our project really put emphasis on how important teamwork is. Thanks to this, all the participants bonded very well with each other. Especially during the second half of the project, it was seen, how everyone was engaged in the activities and tried to do their best. For example, everyone participated in TEDx talk activity by sharing their own story or knowledge on certain topics. During the project we made brochures for the project and had to come up with our own original energizer and an activity related to European citizenship. We practiced implementing them with other participants. The teams of mixed nations organised a debate, simulated the European Parliament work and had a discussion about stereotypes. This made us all realize how difficult it is not only to organise activities but to make people feel comfortable and encourage them to cooperate with each other. The most challenging but also the most interesting activity was the making of short movies. There were three topics: Erasmus+, inclusion and EU citizenship. This was the highlight of the whole project and showcased beautifully how the cooperation between the teams evolved to the next level compared to the beginning of the project. Every team did an amazing job and so four excellent short-movies were born and presented at the Oscars-award night. We also had time to discover the nearby nature: mountains, lakes and rivers. We also had a sauna-night and a lot of dancing and delicious food during cultural nights. This project definitely inspired us all to take part in more Erasmus+ projects and one day, be part of organizing our own. This training course has been funded with the support of the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission. - Karmen Projekti käigus loodi rahvusriikide karakterite põhjal terviklik lugu/ koomiks: For the youth exchange Erasmus+ “Weave the future” 30 youth from Italy, Croatia, Estonia, Poland, Portugal and Hungary met in Sant'Antioco.
The theme of the project focused on the anthropogenic alteration of ecosystems to gain awareness of individual phenomena and to identify opportunities for young people in the field of micro-entrepreneurship to protect and regenerate the environment. During the activities there were reflections on the action plans for the environmental sustainability of the various countries and were shared knowledge on the changes of the eco-system and the emergencies that arise from it. Time was dedicated to reflection on the possibilities that arise in terms of job opportunities for youth entrepreneurs by investigating existing experiences and hypothesizing new ones. Different types of non-formal education activities were held, exercises, working groups, interactive presentations, brainstorming, facilitated debates and dialogues, simulations, role-plays and workshops useful for achieving the aims of the project. This youth exchange has been funded with the support of the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission. ![]() “Kinetic youth-move to grow” was a training mobility for youth workers on the topic of how to encourage kinetic intelligence in youth work. Our AIM was to train participating youth workers to develop, enhance and foster kinetic intelligence in themself and the young people with whom they work. By this, we encourage them to build an environment that encourages the development of critical thinking. The training was initially meant to take place in Slovenia, as a 5-day mobility. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we had to carry out the training online. Even though the topic of dance and movement seems impossible to do through online tools, we managed to create a great learning environment by using both a learning platform and ZOOM online meetings. The main trainer Goran Bogdanovski established a learning platform with a more than 30 hours program for participants that they can do by themself at home, during the course of 3 weeks. In between these 3 weeks, we also met online for 5 days to discuss our individual learning, reflect, evaluate and ask questions. This online group time was also used to learn different tools connected to art therapy and drawing ( which can in itself mimic movement for example physically impaired). In the beginning, we set out to measure the knowledge and skills of participants and their thoughts on the use of kinetic intelligence in youth work. At the end of the project we compared their start knowledge and skills to their thought in the end. |
